FACEIT will restore half-time voice chat for a one-week Season 9 trial after 79% of 106,647 voters supported its return. Opposing teams will be able to speak between August 5 and 12, while an updated ban policy will assess conduct in context. The test could influence communication standards across competitive CS2 matchmaking.

PARIVISION signed Evgenii “FL1T” Lebedev as the permanent replacement for stand-in Abay “HObbit” Khassenov. The move reunites FL1T with Jame and coach dastan, his former teammates from Outsiders’ IEM Rio Major-winning squad. FL1T is expected to debut at the Esports World Cup after spending several months on Virtus.pro’s bench.

Valve released a new collection of Cologne Major stickers showing each team’s final tournament placement. It also reduced prices after acknowledging that the original dynamic system produced unreasonable figures. The revision matters beyond cosmetics because Major sticker sales provide participating teams and players with revenue, which reportedly fell sharply under the original system.
